South Africa’s (SA) Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, Parks Tau, is expected to brief the media this Thursday evening at Nedlac in Johannesburg, Gauteng province, following a meeting with stakeholders to discuss the anticipated outcome of the United States’ (US) review of SA’s eligibility for African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) benefits in 2027.
The US is expected to announce the outcome of its annual AGOA eligibility review on November 2, 2026.
Tau will provide an update on the discussions and the latest developments at the conclusion of the meeting with Nedlac stakeholders.
