The bronze medallists at this year’s TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt will compete in the tournament from September 27 to October 19, marking Nigeria’s 14th appearance, a record for an African nation.
Drawn in Group F alongside Colombia, Norway and Saudi Arabia, Nigeria open their campaign against Saudi Arabia before back-to-back tests against European opposition. History is on their side; the Flying Eagles were runners-up in 1989 and 2005 and reached the quarter-finals in 2023.
With a talented squad and confidence from their recent continental performance, the 2025 team believes it can once again make a deep run in the tournament.
