Egypt’s Pyramids FC claim first FIFA trophy with 3-1 win over Al Ahli

Pyramids FC of Egypt won their first FIFA competition trophy with a commanding 3-1 victory over Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli at a packed King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah on Tuesday night.

Fiston Mayele starred for the African champions, scoring a treble to secure the FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup and keep Pyramids on track in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2025 pathway.

Pyramids, who lifted last season’s TotalEnergies CAF Champions League, reached the final after a 3-0 win against Auckland City in Cairo on September 14. Al Ahli, making their FIFA club competition debut following their 2024/25 AFC Champions League triumph, provided stiff resistance in front of a full house, but Pyramids dominated the key moments of the match.
