This Mandela Day, Soweto comes together — for the children of Giyani Primary School.
Join Channel Africa, the Nelson Mandela Foundation as we honour Mandela Day the way it’s meant to be spent — in service of others.
The day kicks off with a cycling activation departing Vilakazi Street, Soweto, winding through the community before arriving at Giyani Primary School. Once there, the focus shifts to giving back: book donations for the library, support for education and literacy initiatives, school improvement projects, and real engagement with the learners, educators and community who call Giyani home.
