Diesel users are likely to benefit the most, with prices forecast to fall by between$0.076 and $0.083 per litre. The price of illuminating paraffin is also expected to drop by around $0.060 per litre over the same period. The anticipated reductions reflect improved currency performance and softer oil prices towards the end of the year. The Rand has strengthened on the back of improved investor sentiment towards SA, which has helped lower fuel import costs. Fuel prices in SA are adjusted monthly and are influenced mainly by global oil prices and movements in the exchange rate.
