Africa must step up its collaboration in the technology world and take advantage of advances made in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to ensure Africa does not lag behind.
That’s the view of most people who made their way to 2025 Africa Tech festival in Cape Town, Western Cape Province, South Africa (SA).
Bringing together technology leaders, entrepreneurs, and policymakers, the Africa Tech festival set out to find practical answers to drive innovation on the continent.
The buzz word this year was collaboration, top of mind was developing AI tools to solve African problems.
Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, Solly Malatsi, says that AI should be used to support democracy and not to erode it.
