SALT turns 20 today
The Southern African Large Telescope (SALT) turns 20 today.
It remains the largest optical telescope in the Southern Hemisphere and is responsible for a number of new discoveries, from Black holes to observing a kilonova.
November is regarded as a major milestone, as SALT celebrates 20 years since its launch since 2005.
SALT has inspired generations of scientists, students, and visitors.
Over the past two decades, SALT has delivered groundbreaking discoveries.
