South Africans (SA) have taken to social media to congratulate Miss SA 2025.

Twenty-four-year-old Qhawekazi Mazaleni is from East London in the Eastern Cape.

She was crowned at a glittering 67th Miss South Africa pageant at the Sun Square Arena in Pretoria on Saturday night.

Mazaleni will receive R1 million ($58 936) and a luxury, fully furnished apartment, among other prizes.

The first runner up is Luyanda Zuma and second runner up is Karabo Mareka.

Contestants for the 76th Miss SA pageant showed substance and depth.

The newly crowned pageant queen Mazaleni will focus her reign on creating a meaningful impact on key aspects the country is grappling with including women empowerment, youth unemployment, access to education and civic engagement among other things.
