Egypt has raised natural gas prices for several energy-intensive industries ​starting in May, according to a ‌Prime Ministerial decree published on Sunday.

International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva has praised outgoing Research Department Director Pierre‑Olivier Gourinchas for “exceptional intellectual leadership” during a period of heightened global uncertainty, citing major contributions to the Fund’s flagship analysis, plus new tools to strengthen surveillance.
