Accused one in the murder of South African ( SA) soccer player, Senzo Meyiwa, Muzi Sibiya has refuted claims that he was paid for the contract killing of the Bafana Bafana captain

Sibiya is under cross examination by state prosecutor George Baloyi at the High Court in Pretoria where he is appearing alongside four other co-accused.

The five men have been charged with the 2014 murder of Meyiwa. Advocate Baloyi has been going through the confession allegedly made by Sibiya, where it mentions Marco and Makhimba Buthelezi as those part of the assassination.

“Marco said to me there’s a job we need to do I asked them what job and Marco said they were hired by Kelly to kill Senzo. And as a suspect, which Kelly and which Senzo the suspect said Kumalo and Senzo Meyiwa. They are the people we are talking about. There was never a stage where I met Marco and Makhimba.
There was never a time where I spoke to them about Kelly and Senzo. I know nothing about the death of Senzo. I know nothing about Kelly,” he said.
