Senior Manager for Sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance at South African (SA) Nedbank bank, Tebogo Maake says they will be concentrating on how climate opportunities are increasing on informing financing decisions in a banking sector.
The Africa Matters Summit will address critical financing gaps and position Africa as a contributor to global economic transformation.
“We will look on how we can collaborate and innovate with the resources existing in the continent.”
Maake highlighted the importance of aligning strategies to manage climate risks and meet Africa’s adaptation needs.
Next Wednesday, Channel Africa, in partnership with Wits Business School, will be hosting the first ever Africa Matters summit.
The summit will bring together thought leaders, experts and researchers to discuss issues pertaining to climate change and solutions to some of the challenges.
