Africa’s Travel Indaba, the continent’s premier travel and trade shows, kicks off with a Business Opportunity Networking programme in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa (SA) today.

The trade show is said to be the ideal platform for African tourism exhibitors to showcase their offerings to international and local buyers, destination marketing companies and leisure tourism services partners.

This year Africa’s Travel Indaba will bring together more than one thousand exhibitors and over nine-hundred confirmed buyers.

SA President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to officially open the event.

A Statistics SA’s Tourism Satellite Account report found that SA’s tourism sector in 2024 contributed, 4.9% to the Gross Domestic Product, surpassing the contribution of construction, agriculture and utilities.
