FIFA President Gianni Infantino has confirmed that all 104 matches of the 2026 World Cup will be sold out, despite tickets still being available ahead of the tournament’s kick-off on June 11.
Infantino revealed that FIFA received an astonishing 508 million ticket requests in just four weeks for roughly seven million available tickets. Requests during the main sales phase in January came from over 200 countries.
“Seventy-seven out of the 104 matches received requests for over 10 million tickets. We have kept some aside for last-minute sales, but all matches are sold out. It’s incredible,” Infantino said.
The announcement shows the huge global demand for the first North America-hosted World Cup featuring 48 teams, set to be staged across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
