The world should never be silent when atrocities are committed in any country across the globe.
That’s been a key message from various speakers at the 32nd commemoration of the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.
The event was organised by the African Union alongside the Rwandan diplomatic mission in Ethiopia.
It provided a moment to honour the memory of over one million Tutsi killed in 100 days during one of the darkest chapters in Rwanda.
A solemn occasion to pay homage to all those who were killed during the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.
The African Union uses the day to stand in solidarity with survivors and reaffirms Africa’s collective commitment to preventing genocide.
