African Union (AU) Commission Chairperson has arrived in Brazzaville to participate in official celebrations commemorating the Republic of the Congo’s 66th Independence Day.
The anniversary marks the country’s full independence from France on August 15, 1960.
The visit underscores the ongoing collaboration between the African Union and the Republic of the Congo on key regional priorities, including peace, security, and economic development across Central Africa.
During the visit, high-level bilateral discussions are expected with President Denis Sassou Nguesso and senior government officials to strengthen regional integration and advance continental targets under Agenda 2063.
