The Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, has expressed deep sadness following the passing of Manuel Domingos Augusto, the former Minister of External Relations of the Republic of Angola.
Youssouf paid tribute to the late diplomat, describing him as a distinguished statesman and a committed Pan-Africanist.
On behalf of the Commission, Youssouf extended heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Angola, as well as to Augusto’s family, friends, and colleagues.
The AU joined the nation in mourning, honoring his enduring legacy of service to both Angola and the broader African continent.
