Organisers of the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia have confirmed the tournament schedule and stadium allocations across eight host venues, spanning 52 matches from October 1 to November 13, 2027.
The expanded 24-nation tournament will officially kick off at Perth Stadium as hosts Australia take on Hong Kong. Sydney’s Stadium Australia will serve as the flagship centerpiece, hosting eight fixtures including two quarter-finals, both semi-finals, the third-place bronze final, and the World Cup final.
Defending champions South Africa will open their campaign against Italy at the Adelaide Oval, while Brisbane Stadium, nicknamed “The Cauldron”, is set to stage 10 matches, including two quarter-finals.
Melbourne’s Docklands Stadium will offer retractable-roof conditions for eight fixtures, with the newly redeveloped Sydney Football Stadium hosting five matches. Regional hubs including North Queensland Stadium in Townsville and Newcastle Stadium will round out the hosting lineup, staging four pool matches each.
