South Africa’s (SA) preparations for the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) will include one friendly match at home in early December before the team departs for Morocco.
This was confirmed by Bafana Bafana head Coach Hugo Broos during a media roundtable with sports editors and senior journalists.
Broos said, “We start on December 8 with preparation in Pretoria and stay there until December 17, because we have to be in Morocco five days before our first match. The day before we start, we’ll play a friendly game, and then we’re done. Then we play on December 22, 26, and 29.”
Bafana Bafana head to Morocco as one of the teams to watch, after finishing third at last year’s AFCON in the Ivory Coast.
