Talks are gathering pace for a long-awaited heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua

Talks are ongoing for a major boxing fight between British heavyweights Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, with plans to host the bout in Dublin Ireland, this September.

The fight is expected to take place at Croke Park, an 80 000-seat stadium usually used for Gaelic sports, if everything goes according to plan.

For the fight to happen, Fury must first win his upcoming match against Arslanbek Makhmudov this weekend. At the same time, Joshua is expected to avoid taking any other fight before then.

Joshua has just returned to training after being involved in a car accident in Nigeria, while Fury has not fought since December 2024.

Stadium Chief Peter McKenna says the event could also give Irish boxing star Katie Taylor a chance to finally fight in front of her home fans at the same venue.
