In women’s cricket, Laura Cardoso has made history by becoming the first player to take nine wickets in a T20 international.

The 21-year-old delivered a remarkable performance for Brazil against Lesotho, finishing with figures of nine for four as Lesotho were bowled out for just 13 runs.

The achievement sets a new world record in the format, surpassing previous bests in both men’s and women’s T20 cricket.

The match formed part of the Kalahari Women’s T20 tournament in Botswana.
