A 12-storey building under construction in Nairobi, Kenya, has collapsed, triggering an emergency rescue operation as search teams rush to the scene.
According to a statement from the Nairobi County Governor’s office, initial reports indicate that individuals may be trapped beneath the rubble. While the cause of the structural failure remains unclear, Governor Johnson Sakaja’s office noted that the ground floor of the unfinished high-rise was already occupied by tenants at the time of the collapse.
Emergency services and local response units are actively searching the site in Eastleigh to locate survivors and assess the full extent of the casualties.
