The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has formally reaffirmed its unanimous and unconditional support for FIFA President Gianni Infantino ahead of the upcoming FIFA presidential elections.

Flanked by representatives from 52 of CAF’s 54 member associations and a visiting FIFA delegation, CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe delivered a brief address to the media outlining the rationale behind the decision.

The resolution follows a high-level meeting of the member associations where football leaders formally ratified an earlier decision taken by the CAF Executive Committee.

Addressing journalists, Motsepe highlighted that African football federations must prioritise the continent’s strategic and financial interests, emphasizing that Infantino’s continued leadership aligns with Africa’s long-term developmental goals.
