Cameroon have selected a 28-man squad to travel to Morocco for the FIFA World Cup 2026 African Play-Offs, as they aim to keep their qualification hopes alive for next year’s tournament in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
The Indomitable Lions secured their place in the play-offs after finishing among the four best runners-up from the nine African qualifying groups. The team now has a chance to book a spot at the finals through two rounds of knockout matches.
Cameroon will take on the Democratic Republic of Congo in their first fixture on Thursday. If they progress, they will meet the winner of the other semi-final between Gabon and Nigeria on Sunday.
The overall winner of the African play-offs will move on to the intercontinental stage in March, where the last two places for the expanded 48-team World Cup will be decided.
Cameroon are currently part of Group G alongside Gabon, Mozambique, and defending champions Côte d’Ivoire.
