South Africa’s (SA) Cancer Association (CANSA) is marking 95 years of work with a focus on its five-decade contribution to cancer research and education.
Scientists, researchers and cancer advocates gathered in Cape Town, Western Cape Province, for a research day.
The focus is to look at breast and cervical cancer, two of the biggest cancer killers among women in the country.
The Researchers also discussed the role of early detection and lifestyle changes in reducing the impact of the disease.
