A charge of defeating the ends of justice, along with additional charges, may be added against the son of the late former Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe.
This follows a shooting incident that happened in Hyde Park, north of Johannesburg, Gauteng Province, South Africa.
Bellarmine “Chatunga” Mugabe and another man were arrested last week in connection with the shooting of a 23 year old gardener at the Mugabe family residence.
Police have confirmed that the firearm allegedly used in the shooting has not yet been recovered, as investigations continue.
Gauteng Police Spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi says the case docket is at an advanced stage, with further charges likely as investigators finalise their work
