China’s President, Xi Jinping has also pulled out of the upcoming G20 Summit in Johannesburg, in South Africa (SA)
He’ll be represented by his Prime Minister Li Qiang.

No reason was given, but there’s probably nothing sinister about his decision. He has scaled down on international travel in recent years. He attended last year’s G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, but Li also represented him at the 2023 G20 Summit in New Delhi and the BRICS Summit in Brazil earlier this year.

United States President Donald Trump and his Argentinean counterpart Javier Milei have also decided not to come to SA.
