Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze says he is relishing the challenge ahead as Amakhosi prepare for a tough field in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages.
Chiefs booked their spot in the lucrative phase of the competition after defeating the Democratic Republic of Congo’s AS Simba 3-1 at the Dobsonville Stadium on Monday.
The group stage draw will take place in Johannesburg next Monday, with formidable clubs like Wydad Casablanca, Zamalek, USM Alger, CR Belouizdad, Stellenbosch FC and Azam FC all in contention.
Kaze says the moment still feels surreal. “Actually, I believe that it’s a tremendous moment. Maybe I haven’t realised it yet, and tomorrow I’ll wake up and realise what we have done. I am very happy for the fans as they have struggled to have joy,” he said.
