Netball in Namibia continues to receive significant backing from corporate sponsors as efforts to professionalise and develop the sport gather momentum across the country.
For the 2026 season, MTC Namibia injected a record $209 000 into the Netball Namibia Premier League. The landmark investment includes funding for players’ salaries as part of a multi-year strategy to professionalise netball, while also supporting a 12-team elite competition.
At regional level, netball in the Otjozondjupa region received a boost after CENORED partnered with the Otjozondjupa Netball Regional Association to sponsor the 2026 CENORED Otjozondjupa Regional Netball League, helping to expand participation and strengthen the sport’s development pathways.
Meanwhile, NORED contributed $607 to support the Kavango East Under-19 netball team. The donation was made in May 2026 through the company’s corporate social responsibility programme following the team’s triumph at the Nedbank Namibian Newspaper Cup.
