The government of Cuba says it is ready to defend the country following threats by United States (US) President, Donald Trump.
Trump says Cuba must make a deal before it is too late and did not explain the details of the agreement.
Cuba says, like any other country, it has a right to develop the economic relations without the interference of and subordination to US.
It says it won’t give in to threats and blackmail from Trump’s administration.
US intends to impose its will on sovereign states through military action.
It says no country is safe as the US intimidate governments of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Trump says no more Venezuelan oil or money will go to Cuba unless Havana strikes a deal.
Venezuela is Cuba’s biggest oil supplier, but no cargo has departed from Venezuelan ports to the Caribbean country since US forces abducted Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
