Traffic congestion at the Maseru Bridge border
Traffic congestion at the Maseru Bridge border crossing between South Africa (SA) and Lesotho has eased slightly, but delays remain.
SA’s Revenue Service, (SARS), says new measures are being implemented to improve the flow of people and vehicles across the border.
They include a requirement for all foreign-registered vehicles to be declared on the Traveller Management System before entering or leaving SA.
SARS says nearly 39 000 Temporary Import Permits have been issued across the region, including around 18 000 in Lesotho.
