Deportation of seven Kenyan nationals
South Africa (SA) says the deportation of seven Kenyan nationals by the Department of Home Affairs was conducted in strict accordance with the country’s immigration laws.
The Department of International Relations (DIRCO) was responding to a threatening statement from the United States (US) Department which condemned what it referred to as the recent detention of US officials performing their duties to provide humanitarian support to Afrikaners and further alleged the public release of US officials’ passport information as an unacceptable form of harassment.
DIRCO called the allegation unsubstantiated and rejected any State involvement in such actions.

It’s a broader diplomatic spat that just keeps on giving.
After Homes Affairs confirmed the arrest and deportation order of seven Kenyan nationals working on behalf of the US to process Afrikaner refugee applications, the US Department accused SA of detaining US officials and of publicly releasing their passport information.

This was categorically denied by the SA government that further indicated that the deportation of Kenyan nationals was done if strict accordance with the country’s immigration law.
