Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) winger Glody Lilepo has officially parted ways with South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs to sign for Libyan powerhouse Al Ahly Benghazi.
The 29-year-old confirmed his departure from Naturena on Monday, marking the second high-profile exit from the Amakhosi squad following defender Given Msimango’s recent transfer to Stellenbosch FC.
Lilepo arrived at Kaizer Chiefs from French side Valenciennes in January 2025 and established himself as a central figure in the club’s attacking lineup. Over a 56-match tenure, the DRC international scored 15 goals and registered five assists, playing an instrumental role in helping Chiefs secure the Nedbank Cup.
Al Ahly Benghazi formally unveiled Lilepo as their latest marquee signing, as the Libyan club looks to bolster its squad and challenge for top honors after finishing third in the Libyan Premier League last season.
