Unequal distribution of wealth across African economies is forcing millions to migrate in search of better living conditions, according to Botswana President Duma Boko.
Speaking exclusively to SABC News following the Southern African Development Community summit in Durban, Boko described migration as a global challenge driven largely by structural economic disparities and a lack of job opportunities.
He noted that unequal economic systems across countries like South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Namibia leave the majority of citizens trapped in underbelly economies outside the mainstream. Without economic inclusion, Boko warned, growing frustration over unemployment and uncontrolled borders leaves citizens impatient and demanding immediate solutions.
