The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) of South Africa (SA) has announced that it will publish the list of voting stations next week, Friday, ahead of the local government elections.
Co-operative Governance Minister Velenkosini Hlabisa has proclaimed the fourth November as the date for the polls.
The voters’ roll was closed at midnight for voter registration.
IEC Chairperson Mosotho Moepya was briefing the media in Centurion, Gauteng province.
“The commission will publish the list of voting stations with their addresses on August 14 2026. The publication of the list of voting stations will include routes of mobile voting stations. There are 32 mobile voting stations across our country. The publication of voting station details will enable voters to confirm the locations of their designated voting stations and assist communities with mobile voting stations to plan accordingly ahead of the elections this year in November,” says Moepya.
