Elon Musk is calling for the release the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of the murder George Floyd in Minnesota in the United States (US) in May 2020.

In a post on X, Musk says Derek Chauvin was unjustly convicted of murder and should be freed.

The businessman also says that the facts showed that Chauvin was not responsible for Floyd’s death. But Chauvin’s conviction follows a closely watched criminal trial, damning video evidence and several appeals that confirmed the original conviction.
