Ethiopia and Sudan have shut down each other’s consulates near their shared border, signalling a further deterioration in diplomatic relations.
This is amid growing accusations of interference in each other’s internal conflicts.
Sudan accuses Ethiopia of providing support to the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, while Ethiopia alleges that Sudan is backing rebel groups in its northern Tigray region.
Both countries have denied the allegations.
