European Council President António Costa says the European Union (EU) is taking positive steps to making international financing architecture more inclusive, efficient and representative.
He says the intention is to ease the debt burden that prevents developing countries from investing in their own future.
He was responding to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa’s call for global investments.
The remarks were made under the EU’s Global Gateway initiative to be structured in a way that empowers African countries.
