South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) News Sports Producer Thando Mxoli has expressed confidence in Bafana Bafana’s ability to produce a positive result in their upcoming Federation of Association Football (FIFA) World Cup group-stage clash against South Korea.
He says provided the team remains disciplined in its tactical approach and capitalises on the strengths of its players.
Mxoli says the team has shown encouraging signs in recent performances and will be looking to build on that momentum as it continues its World Cup campaign.
He believes maintaining the team’s established formation and playing style will be key to achieving success on the international stage.
According to Mxoli, the players will also be motivated by the opportunity to prove that they are capable of progressing further in the tournament.
He says the encounter against South Korea is expected to be an intriguing contest, with both teams likely to approach the match determined to secure a favourable result and improve their chances of advancing to the knockout stages.
Bafana Bafana will take on South Korea on Thursday at Estadio BBVA in Monterrey, Mexico, in what is expected to be a closely contested FIFA World Cup group-stage fixture.
