The office of former President of Botswana Festus Mogae says he is recuperating well at home.
Mogae was admitted to hospital in Gaborone two weeks ago.
The 86-year-old Mogae is the third President of the landlocked country and took over from Sir Ketumile Masire from 1998 to 2008.
The Senior Private Secretary in the office of Mogae, Rhee Hetanang elaborates: “He is very stable and remaining at home, under very specialised care and he’s okay. We can confirm that his excellency is doing very well and we can only thank the public for support and the prayers towards his recovery.
We ask them to continue praying for his excellency’s recovery going forward, while we also request them to accord the family the privacy and dignity that his excellency deserves. “
