The Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC) will unveil its newly upgraded headquarters in Bakau this Saturday, July 11, marking a major structural upgrade for the country’s sports administration.
Located at Mile 7 along the Bertil Harding Highway, the revamped Olympic House was funded through a development partnership with the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA). The continental body has been targeting infrastructure upgrades across the region to help local committees better support athletes and manage sports development.
ANOCA President Mustapha Berraf is leading a delegation to Banjul to officially open the facility alongside local sporting officials. The modernised building will serve as the primary operational hub for the GNOC and regional sports federations as they co-ordinate upcoming international training and competitions.
