Violence is surging in Haiti
Violence is surging in Haiti, where armed gangs have tightened their grip on the country.
The United Nations (UN) says rival groups are fighting for territory and resources, possibly in anticipation of more robust operations by the newly established UN backed Gang Suppression Force.
Much of the capital, Port-au-Prince, remains under gang control, with killings, sexual violence and kidnappings continuing to drive people from their homes.
More than one and a half million Haitians have been displaced.
