The G20 Leaders’ Summit
South Africa’s (SA) Gauteng Province Premier Panyaza Lesufi says he has taken note of public criticism, suggesting that service delivery improvements are only happening because of the upcoming G20 Leaders’ Summit.
Addressing National Council of Provinces (NCOP) delegates at the Tshwane Municipal Chambers, Lesufi assured them that weekly meetings to tackle issues across a wide spectrum, will continue beyond the summit.
Lesufi has also condemned rising vandalism in the province.
He noted that some residents actively undermine progress in the Province of Gauteng.
Lesufi stated that delegates to the NCOP are currently undertaking a week-long oversight programme until Friday, focusing on service delivery projects across the province.
