Ghana have appointed Carlos Queiroz as Head Coach, ahead of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) World Cup in the Americas later this year.
Queiroz, who coached Bafana Bafana in the early 2000’s, will make his fifth consecutive World Cup appearance.
Queiroz left his role as coach of Oman last month, after the side failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
He led Portugal to the round of 16 at the 2010 World Cup.
He later coached Iran for the last three editions of the tournament, where they recorded three wins in 13 matches.
Ghana was left without a coach, just 72 days before the World Cup kick-off, after parting company with Otto Addo.
This follows friendly defeats against Austria and Germany in March.
Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama.
