The United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for restraint and the immediate de-escalation of tensions between the United States (US) and Venezuela, his Spokesperson said on Wednesday.
Guterres calls on both countries to “honour their obligations under international law, including the UN Charter and any other applicable legal framework to safeguard peace in the region”, deputy UN Spokesperson Farhan Haq told reporters.
