Human Rights Watch (HRW) says the Malian military, armed groups and insurgent forces have committed serious violations of the laws of war since July 2026.
The organisation says this happens while the international community has largely failed to act.
The organisation says the military and its Russian controlled Africa Corps, formerly the Wagner Group, have killed and wounded scores of civilians in attacks and in custody.
Drone strikes and resulting civilian casualties also more than doubled between April and August compared with the same period last year.
