International banking and wealth management group Investec has announced a significant expansion of its support for professional women’s golf in South Africa (SA).
The prize purse for the Investec SA Women’s Open will increase by $62 000 in 2027, bringing the total prize pool to nearly $463 000. This elevation solidifies the event as the richest women’s golf tournament in Southern Africa. Alongside the main purse, players will compete for additional bonuses, including the Investec Order of Merit and the Homegrown Award.
In addition to the purse increase, Investec has renewed its five-year partnership with the Sunshine Ladies Tour and extended its sponsorship of both the men’s and women’s SA Opens.
Investec has also expanded its individual athlete sponsorship roster by signing Symone Henriques and Zanè Kleynhans. They join existing sponsored players Kaiyuree Moodley, Ivanna Samu, and Nicole Garcia.
