In Kenya, a party tribunal has stopped a decision to remove Edwin Sifuna from his position as Secretary General of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

The tribunal in Nairobi said the matter must first be fully reviewed before any final ruling is made. This means Sifuna will remain in his post for now.

Sifuna claims the attempt to push him out is political. He has accused Kenya’s President, William Ruto, of being behind the move, saying it is linked to his opposition to the President’s re-election plans.
