Kenya is hosting the Africa Forward Summit 2026, rebranded Africa, France Summit, this week.

The two-day gathering begins on Monday in Capital Nairobi.

The gathering is marking the first time in over 50 years, that the summit is being held in a non-Francophone African nation.

The event signals a strategic pivot in French diplomacy toward broader continental partnerships, particularly with Anglophone and East African countries.
