The Kenya Taekwondo Federation (KTF) says preparations are well under way as the country prepares to host the inaugural World U/21 Taekwondo Championships from December 3–6 ,2025 at the Kasarani Gymnasium in Nairobi.
KTF President, Major Suleiman Sumba, said the successful bid was the result of strong government backing and extensive groundwork by the federation.
“We want to thank our government. We are well prepared. We went for the bidding and managed to secure the hosting rights, thanks to our preparations at home and the support we received worldwide,” Sumba said.
The championship will bring young athletes from across the globe to East Africa for the first event of its kind, marking a major milestone for Kenyan taekwondo.
