Government of Kenya has announced a new plan to expand Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, months after cancelling a controversial multi-billion-Shilling agreement with Adani Group.
Davis Chirchir, Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport of Kenya said the upgrade will help reduce congestion at the country’s main international gateway while increasing its capacity to handle more passengers and cargo.
The expansion is also expected to strengthen Kenya’s position as a key aviation hub in the region and support the growth of trade and tourism.
